In thier faces and wierd spots , don't they know they will have a hard time getting a job if they look wierd. Its just a fact, employers won't hire you if you are all covered with holes.

That was a retarded question. I have a septum piercing ("bull" ring for the immature ones here), and i'm only 15 years old?
I think it as a way of self expression.
That's like asking why people get tattoo's. There's not many people now days WITHOUT a tattoo. At least piercings you can take out, that's the way I look at it. But you have to be careful with the piercings such as monroes, or lips, because you're going to have scars left. Piercings such as mine, it's in the nose, so you can't see it. And you can flip it up, it's completely invisible.

And if employers don't hire because of a few piercings, then that just shows how prejudice they are.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with piercings than some stereotypes you might have heard.

Not true. I have 15 tattoo's and have had many piercings and never had a hard time finding a job. Not all people are prejudicial and closed minded.

did you listen when you were a teen, to people who said you didnt fit in,or couldnt get hired..looking like that? they feel the need to stand out in a crowd- with the beetles-guys grew long bangs -with kiss they wore make-up. Its the same old angst-different generation

it's a style that's existed for millenia and it's a form of rebellion. would you prefer kids did something else? remove one form of rebellion and they'll just choose another. i'd be more worried about getting hooked on a sweater and having it ripped out than misrepresenting myself in front of a possible employer.

you do have to take most face piercing out at work but kids?? i am 49 and i had my nose pierced at 46, just one single diamond stud, age has nothing to do with it, same as tattos
