My wife's pregnant with our second boy and we couldn't be more excited. Our 4 year old's name is James Jr. (aka J.J.) so for this one we're trying to come up with first & middle names that go well together. Options:

Steven
Justin
Elliott
Caleb
Jake (not too big on Jacob, prefer just Jake)
Timothy

Thanks for your opinions

First of all Congratulations!! I definitely like the names Justin, Caleb, and Jake. I am a big "J" name lover. :) However to narrow down the search for the perfect name I personally would choose Jake. Since you mention that you are also in search of a middle name than perhaps you can try...let's see... How about Jake Alexander or Jake Matthew. If you are still puzzled then you can always try babycenter.com. Its a great site for baby names! Good Luck in your search! And I hope I've helped! CONGRATS!!

Congratulations on baby boy number 2. Out of the names you listed I like Caleb, Jake (I love Jacob though), and Elliot. Justin is okay too.

With James being a traditional name I think that these may sound good with it:
Matthew
Nicholas
Andrew (Drew)
Samuel (Sam)
Alexander (Alex or Xan)
Benjamin (Ben)
Maxwell (Max)

I also like JJ and Connor, JJ and Beau, JJ and Aaron, JJ and Josh, JJ and Sean, JJ and Cameron, JJ and Ryan. JJ and Scott, JJ and Dillon, JJ and Zachary

Full names maybe:
James Michael and Connor Joshua
James Michael and Beau Miles
James Michael and Aaron Timothy
James Michael and Sean Spencer
James Michael and Cameron Elliot
James Michael and Joshua Scott
James Michael and Ryan Hunter
James Michael and Scott Tyler
James Michael and Dillon Edward
James Michael and Zachary Justin

James Michael and Steven Grant
James Michael and Justin Marshall
James Michael and Elliot Drake
James Michael and Caleb Jackson
James Michael and Jake Alexander
James Michael and Timothy Nathaniel

James Michael and Matthew Braedon
James Michael and Nicholas Quinn
James Michael and Andrew Carter
James Michael and Samuel Lee
James Michael and Alexander Jake
James Michael and Benjamin Isaac
James Michael and Maxwell Brent

I hope I was able to help you out. Naming the baby is hard work. We had it narrowed down to two names and finally chose one a few hours after he was born! We had the first name but just couldn't pick the middle. Luckily we are very pleased with our decision. Anyway, Good Luck! SD

I have a soft spot for Elliott and Jake. Justin and Timothy are both lovely, but they havve to be paired with the right middle names. I'm not so crazy about Caleb because it is one of those uncommon names that has become very common and lost its uniquness. As for Steven, I just don't like it. I don't know why. I'm pregnant as well and I wish you and your wife good luck with the naming game. Congratulations and best wishes to little JJ and his new brother.
