Dreams are not made by the child, they are made by the things they are exposed to, such as a child getting nightmares from a horror flick. If you asked them, they would not know what to answer. It is the subconscious that creates dreams, and not the conscious mind (the mind that you have when you are awake). If you are concerned with your kid's dreams, check into a hypnotherapist. It seems odd and out of the ordinary, but they are extremely gifted in what they do. Be sure, though, that you find a trained and qualified person to do the job, not just a guy out of the phone book.

If your child is a dreamer. Dreams can mean something if you know how to interpret them. Do not worry a child with things they are not thinking about. Also, take your children to the library and read to them. Pray with them too and pray for the people in the dreams.

Yes, someone can.

Now, seriously, you can ask them and there are many children who will give you amazing answers. If you suspect that their nightmares are caused by being abused, then you have to analyze their answers. If you do it just for fun (they don't have recurrent nightmares), then sit back and enjoy the ride! They'll take you to a world that you thought it was lost.
