1. Write a fraction as a percent
Suppose we have a half, 1/2. How do we write this as a percent? Well, you might already know that the answer is 50%, but how could we find this out if we didn't already know this? The key lies in the fact that % means per 100. We want to express 1/2 as some quantity out of 100. We can write this relationship as a proportion: 1/2 = ?/100. To solve this, we could cross multiply and divide to find the unknown. (1 × 100) ÷ 2 = 50. So 1/2 = 50/100 or 50%.
Let's look at a more difficult example. How do we write 1/3 as a percent? The proportion we need to solve is: 1/3 = ?/100.
We can cross multiply to solve. Take 1 × 100. Then we take the product, 100, and divide by 3. carrying it out further, we get:. As you can see, the 3's keep repeating forever, so it will be easier to write 100/3 as a fraction by taking the remainder 1 and putting it over the divisor 3. Now we get 33 1/3. So 1/3 = 33 1/3%.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......
The answer would be:
4 2/3= 14/3 x X/100
3*x = 14*100
3x=1400
x/3= 1400/3
x=466.67%

First turn four and two thirds into a mixed number...
4 2/3
first multiply the denominator (3) by the whole number (4)
this equals 12
now add the numerator(2) to your product
this is 14
therefore 4 and 2/3 as a mixed number is 14/3
now to turn it into a decimal divide it
14 divided by 3 is
4.6 with the six repeating
to turn it to a percent we move the decimal two places to the right (the hundredths place)
this would be 466%

4 2/3 (pretend thats two thirds!) you take the denominator-the bottom number of the fraction,3 - and multiply it by the whole number - 4. then you add to it the numerator-the top number of the fraction, 2 - and put a percent next to it!try it!

It's 4 2/3% or if you want it as a decimal to the nearest hundredth it would be 4.67%. Think of a sales tax....like 3 1/2%.

first change it into an improper fraction, divide the numerator by the denominatior, times by 100. And round to the nearest hundred (depending on what the full question asks.)
Hope that helped.

I'll give an example.
-------------------------
3 4/7= 3*7+4/7 = 21+4/7= 25/7=3.57143
3.57143 = 357.143% rounded... 357%
---------------------------
The steps?
1. Make it an improper fraction (bigger number over smaller number.)
2.Convert to decimals.
3.Move the decimal back 2 spaces, and add the % sign.
