Any young mother that gives their children up for adoption has done the most selfless thing anyone on earth could do. It takes a lot more love to think of that baby first and want to give it a good home when you know you're not ready to raise them yourself. I'm waiting to adopt and I can't even begin to express how grateful I am going to be to whoever gives their child up for me. Like so many others I have waited all my life and have a lot of love to give. I admire and bless the young women who are so mature and caring to do this selfless thing. God Bless them all.

I think life is a cycle of events.
For instance, a sexually abused child will most likely abuse a child unless there is some type of intervention. Statistics say usually young mothers are from single house holds especially where fathers are not present. Statistics also say if the young mother has had a rough life, no support or love then the young mother is sure to repeat the cycle.
It is very critical to review the girls relationship with her mother. Though from a single parent house hold, an active mother can teach, counsel and educate a young mom. And this can also improve the bond of the both relationships.
So I guess it is easy to say if someone has given up on you and never showed you how to deal, hang in there, and handle tough situations then it is hard to start trying just because now you are pregnant and soon to be a mom.
Also where is the father of this baby?
Why did he give up so easily?
Why is he not around?
Why is he not more supportive?
This can have a lot to do with why the young mother has given up so easily.
IT TAKES 2 TO MAKE A BABY!!!!!!!!!
People need to be more responsible. If you lay down and have unprotected sex....9 months later it is very likely you will have a baby.
LETS STOP TEEN PREGNANCY.
I talk to my daughter everyday because I do not want her to be a statistic.
LETS GET INVOLVED!
LISTEN and INTERVENE!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are young and don't have the money or time to support them, and want them to ideally have a better life with a family than what they can offer. =\?
