Don't be scared, she will probably be happy to help...and don't be scared if she cries a little, she'll just be happy that you are becoming a woman =]

I was 11 when I first started my period...don't be scared though, that's what she is there for. Just let her know, and make sure you are in private if that makes you feel better. I promise you it will be ok!! =]

Don't be scared it normal to be nerves
When I got my period I was scared cause I didn't know why I was bleeding. But any ways when you get it just pull your mom to the side and tell her she not going to get mad or anything like that. She might also have a few tips to give you. So don't be nervous or scared just remember moms are a daughters best friend. You'll find that out latter on in life

judt tell her she can help you a LOT! she's been through it b 4. she knows what its like. and just to be perpared you an get some pads or pantieliners so you are perpared when it comes. go to the best site for girls that want to know more about there periods and want to see some questions by other girls www.beinggirl.com or www.always.com they have a link there. go to ask iris and see those questions~ that's a great site. and don't worry it's all apart of growing up. all women have to go throught it.

Your period is a natural progression into adulthood. Don't be scared! It isn't as bad as everyone says and it does make you feel a bit more " adult." i got mine at 12 and i told my mom and she just gave me a box of maxi pads and that was it. Remember your mom got hers one day too so she will likely remember how it was for herself and telling her mom. be proud you are a woman and don't be ashamed of your body. every woman you know has had that "first" period.

You shouldn't be afraid at all. A period is something all girls experience. Just when your time comes let your mother know. She's gotten it before so she'll be able to answer all your questions!
