Hey does anybody know how to make a hamster nice? Mine is really mean and ive had him 4 a long time!

Hi don't startle him with sudden movements and when you are trying to make contact with him talk to him gently and offer him a treat, popcorn is always a good one. Hold the popcorn in the flat of the palm of your hand and let your hamster come to you, once he establishes you with treats he will be your friend.
My hamster likes blueberries, raspberries, popcorn and cake.

Since you had your hamster for a long time it is unfortunately too late... If you are willing to do get another hamster after this one, i suggest you put your hand in the cage with clean hands(only water no soap) every day and just put in the cage or on the sides of the cage while the hamster is awake. Try putting a glove or a sock that you usually wear into the cage so the hamster has some form of bedding and a scent of what you smell like.. =P hope it helped

When I was younger I bought a pregnant hamster, in the end I had about 30 hamsters in total...
About your question... You just have to wait until he knows you better, try to play with him, try to put him in your hand, but very quick change him to the other hand. He just have to be grabbed, touched. After he will be very soft.

i am afraid that some animals can just be eveil, even humans. I would not treat it like a pet but a mixed up pet

maybe try handling a bit more,take him out of cage in a kind of run.my daughters bit alot and with alot of time and patience should become bit friendly.have you got a ball for it? try treats get it used to coming to you.

i had one exactly the same!he was so vicious,he used to latch on to my finger,he was given to me because he was rescued,he was about 12months so i just used to wear gloves because you cant change their behaviour, unless they are young,then you can tame them.
