I live here in America and I would like to go to the UK in June. I have never been anywhere outside the US so I do not have a passport. I know I have to get that first. Since the UK does not require a Visa, do I still have to have a visa to re-enter the US? What else do I need to do to go about this?

If you are a U.S. citizen you DO NOT need a visa to come home. Just get your passport to UK since they do not require a visa. Happy travels!!

North America? South America... maybe Central America... Let just assume that you are in the United States of America. You need a passport to enter the Untied Kingdom, you do not need a visa to re-enter the United States. To enter the UK you must meet these requirements.

U.S. Passport must be Valid 3 Months Beyond Intended Stay
No visa required for Stay up to six months
Tickets and Documents for Return or Onward Travel
Vaccinations - None Required

You should also go to a government web site to obtain the most up to date information.

Check out the website for the U.S. Department of State - http://travel.state.gov/index.html You should be able to find out everything you need to know about traveling out of the U.S. I have traveled to Brazil and China, which required Visas along with a passport, but I didn't need anything other than my passport when returning to the U.S. However, you said you lived here, but not if you were a citizen, so I can't be sure. Travel safely and have fun!

Ask your passport and visa questions to someone at a travel agency and all will be revealed.
