The video game market in germany is more or less the same as in the US and the rest of europe, so germans play the same types of games everyone else does.
That being said, there werre a few games that involved killing jews etc. in germany (immediately forbidden) but I havent heard of any lately.

They know about that kind of games, and they have them, but they don't play much. What they have are all the movies where Germany loses. I know this because i have a friend from Germany and he told me. When he played for the first time the Medal of Honor he could understand everything the German soldiers were saying, like "don't kill me". I always make jokes about him, and Germany, and Hitler, and the WW1 and 2, and he really knows about that kind of things. I am now an exchange student from Spain in Michigan, and I'm in the same class of history of him. Now we are studying WW2, and I'm picking on him all the time.

I don't think so. I mean, the last time I heard, they didn't even teach about the Holocaust in Germany public schools.

Why not? My Japanese friend plays Blazing Angels: Squadron of WWII, and the game call the Japanese "Murdering sons of *****", and neither he nor his parents mind.
