Liv, it is fishes actually.
Fish don't have the intellectual ability to love or hate. They can feel fear or stress, which is instinctual. They can feel hunger too. That's about it.

Why do you shake the aquarium? You say that you hit the glass by mistake, so that's understandable. No, your "fish" don't dislike people, but I'm sure they get annoyed and stressed when you hit the glass. You know at zoos they have signs in the aquarium and reptile exhibits that say "do not tap the glass"? It's the same principle. Sound is magnified through glass and water...just because you can't hear it or feel the vibrations doesn't mean that your fish can't. It's like the equivalent of you randomly hearing an earthquake from behind one wall of your house. Then you find out that there is no natural disaster, but someone just playing around on the other side of the wall. Wouldn't that freak you out a little? I'm not saying an accidental tap will instantly kill them, but you should have the tank in a place where it is less likely to be run into.

I don't think that they dislike people per say, but dislike you tapping on the glass. That sound is magnified and can be pretty darn scary for a little fish :)

They dislike people that hit the glass, and shake the aquarium. Meaning, they dislike what you do to them, not you. You knew that already.

They dislike the tank being hit on. You are stressing your fish by doing so. They don't have the brain power for anger they just react to their environment. Sounds travel easier through the water so what sounds like a tap to you most likely sounds like a sonic boom to them. They cannot comprehend what they are hearing and cannot run from it. You could scare them to death.

No. I mean if you keep tapping and shaking the bowl they will. Fish are very disturbed by this and you should stop. You may end uo hurting them badly or even killing them.

No they dont hate people, but they get irritated when you tap the glass. It bothers them, its like if i was poking you continously. Just one tap annoys them.

Fish do not dislike, they do not have the cognition.

No they love us.
They just get nervous, like we would in an earthquake.
