Personally I think they both matter.
I think that once you leave your 20's to early 30's you should avoid the short skirt look.
Also, short skirts with legging's accentuate the legs, therefore if you are heavier it's probably not a good idea to draw attention to that area.
Only a personal opinion though, if u like it, then go ahead

Those people who say a 25 year old woman can't wear a short skirt anymore, are just ridiculous. Look at all those celebreties, lots of them are around this age (Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Christina Aguileira, Carmen Electra (she is even in her mid thirties) and the list goes further) and they still wear short skirts and it looks fabulous on them. You girls and women are just jealous cause you don't have the right figure to wear it, LOL. It's funny that such comments never come from men, it's always from other women.

Leggings with a big shirt or sweater would be o.k. for any age. But not any weight. Unless just around your home. Short skirts look nice on the young gals, teens, but older women should not wear them real short. Just over the knee, or a couple inches above is more becoming.

It doesn't matter at all how old you may be. If you feel you have the body to wear something, DO IT! I'm 34 and in the best shape of my life. When hubby and I go out on date nights, I wear micro mini skirts! Why? Because he enjoys seeing me in them and I have the confidence in myself to do it. I also don't care what anyone else may say or think because it doesn't matter!
Wear what you want, when you want and where you want!
Have fun

i admire mini skirts, and that i'm 13. this is positive, as long as you abide by potential of regulations and stuff. I additionally think of mini skirts are terrific used on people who're short to elongate the legs slightly. attempt knee skirts in case you sense uncomfy. in case you extremely like a mini yet choose to elongate it, ask an alterationist or stitch slightly bit attractive fabrics to the backside. that's what I do.

any age. depends on length though no eight year old could pull off a super short skirt no matter WHAT. leggings are cute, and if you're older (25+) wear a long shirt or sweater. that's totally in. size matters as long as you are the one who cares...

I think it involves both. A seven year old with a short skimpy skirt just looks wrong! But, a fat any year old, with a short skirt, exposing fat thighs is also not to pleasant. Its actually the shape of the body. Like if you are overweight but have nice body tone, then its fine, but does not apply to seven year olds.

I think if you are over 25 you should not wear short skirts. It makes older women look like they are trying to be young again.
