Yes..Very good question. Just like somebody else commented if for 100 of years all the other immigrants who migrated here have learned english...then so be it they should too. Just because they are a neighboring country does not mean we should accomidate them.

Yes I would join just to be fair. I'm Asian and we don't try to manipulate U.S. to be our own Asian country. No offense people but that seems to be the reality. (esp. here in Cali). I apply job and they ask you, if you're bilingual? I mean what is that? Am I in a Spanish country or what? I made great effort to learn English. To be an American and I hope they should too. There's no problem bringing their own culture here in United States but I hope they respect other cultures as well. You'll hear loud blaring car stereo in Hispanic music. Another thing is government spends more money on advertising by producing extra copy for Spanish version i.e pamphlets, brochure, posters, etc.

spanish is a beautiful, romantic language.
however, think of all the money we could save if we did not have to print everything in english, and spanish.

i'm not much of a movement joiner, but i am all for there not being so many things printed or spoken in spanish. english may not have a place as the national language of america, but the fact is that it's the language of the land. all of our historical documents are written in it; every president we have had has been an english-speaker; sessions of every branch of the government are conducted in english--america is an english-speaking nation. people should have to know english. it is not up to businesses here to cater to folks who don't want to bother to learn it. i can't see why english has never been declared our national language.

Computers all over the world use Microsoft operating systems. It is a monopoly, but, what if we use operating systems made by dozens of different companies ? The world will fall in chaos. I don't believe diversity is a good thing in terms of computer operating lanuages. Now you want to build a multi-lingual society in the 21 century which is the first step in globalization in human history. Are you kidding me, my friends ?

I would. Not because of any ill will, but it will make the Hispanics learn the language and assimilate into this country like every other group of immigrants has over the last 100 years.
Why they are the only ones that refuse to learn the language is beyond me.
