A fish rests on the bottom of a bucket of water while the bucket is being weighed. When the fish begins to swim around does the reading on the scale change?

Think of it this way, everything in the bucket (including the fish) contributes to the overall weight on the scale. The fish doesn't magically lose weight or anything in order to swim. The reading on the scale (if its a spring scale) may waver slightly from the motion of the fish inside the bucket, but the overall weight does not change.

The weight will not change. Weather the fish is supported by the bucket or the water the force on the scale does not change.
