okay i have to make a venn diagram! and i am almost finished! i am comparing the loyalists and the patriots (during the american revolution)!! and i need to know how they were the same and how they were different! please help me!

Loyalists: loyal to the crown. despised the patriots. totally against the revolution.

Same: they both lived in america, had opposite views.

patriots: wanted independence, fought hard, willing to do anything for their country.

I think what you want for your diagram is the following:

Two intersecting circles that you might call "opposition to British policy" and "loyalty to the King" The non-intersecting part of the first are the Patriots and the non-intersecting part of the second are the loyalists. The intersecting represents those people in the middle who who were undecided about whether to support or oppose the revolution.
