To make'em less sore after dance: when you get home, put them in cold water for 3-5 minutes. Then put them in warm water for 3-5 minutes, then cold again, them warm again, then cold again.

Make sure your shoes are well fitted and good quality. Poor fit/quality can make your feet hurt a lot.

You can't really make them sweat less. You can try to use different shoes - fabric is better than leather in that regard.

When you finish dancing lie on your back and raise your legs up and rest them against a wall for about five minuets. This will help the blood in your legs to return to the heart were it is reoxygenated and therefore can work quicker in removing wate material produced through exersise. I would also recomend using a cooling foot spray and giving yourself a quick foot massage after class. Wear cotten socks when you can as they will absorb sweat much quicker than any other fibre and check that with a proffesional that your current shoes fit properly.

If you do shoeless dancing, you're just going to have to tough it out until your feet get used to it, or if you use shoes, you may want to look into some higher-quality ones. Ask your dance instructor what kind he/she wears.

As far as sweating, I guess ask for the heat to be turned down. Maybe a new deodorant would help, too.

Happy Dancing!

It's usually a prob w/the shoes...poor fit, design...can affect your whole body. Soak in warm water w/epsom salts...cold water to reduce swelling...your shoes don't let your feet breathe, for too much sweat, be sure you're wearing cotton socks,. Last, elevate feet whenever you can.

Shoes depends on what kind of dance you are doing. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you are wearing heels. Be sure that you buy your high heels from a dance wear distributor. They will be designed for dancing and will be much more comfortable.

you should stick some (just a tiny bit) of goldbond powder in your shoes and on your feet before dancing. as far as the soreness goes soak your feet in epsom salt (if you do point ballet it also helps for ingrown toenails)
