i just moved here and i have no idea what malden is all about.

Malden is still mostly a working class community that happens to be the most balanced racially mixed city or town in Massachusetts. For some reason it lacks as wide a variety of ethnic restaurants than its population would suggest it should have, however. It has great public transportation access.

Malden is a good place to live. I live here and it is a racially diverse city. There are alot of Haitian, Brazilian and Asian families living here. If your still in grade school there is always something for you to get involved with. There aren't any bad parts, but some kids from the Maplewood area try to be hardcore when there not.

I know someone that lives in Malden. Parts of it are actually very nice.

I'm not from Malden, but I know some people from there. They are very nice and Irish heritage. Middle class working.

oh, what is malden about??? hmm...
well i live next to malden, in medford so I am pretty familiar with it. like everyone says, it's a middle class (in some areas) but mostly working class city...and it has its really nice parts (my aunt used to live there in an enormous house overlooking boston) and some really really ugly parts - aka the Squire strip club area!!
but like any other place it's what you make of it! it's a great location to get into boston...and there are some really nice surrounding towns and cities also!

I used to live in Granada Highlands just outside Malden and found it a nice place to live
