1st round:Take the best player.

Also, dont draft pitching until you have your 1st baseman, 3rd baseman, SS and 1 outfielder. There are plenty of good pitchers but, guys who hit for average and power go really fast in the draft.

Dont draft a CLOSER until later. You can still pick up a solid 40 saves from a closer later on in the draft. Most people draft Joe Nathan and Rivera and the top closer but, its not worth it. Go with a closer who is going to get alot of opportunities to get a save. This mean draft a closer on a good team who will win alot of games. I like Todd Jones from the Tigers.

Try to get atleast on Cub player. Aramiz Ramirez, Alfonso Soriano, Derrek Lee are good players to have. The Cubs will score a lot this year.

Dont draft a 1st baseman with the first round pick unless it is Ryan Howard or Albert Pujols.

Dont forget steal are apart of the game as well.

Leadoff hitters typically dont put up big numbers.

Matt Cain, Cole Hamels, Justin Verlander, and Jeremy Bondermam all will rack up K's this year.

Pick the best player on the board.

Secondly have a Cheat sheet. Have Sleepers in positions so you dont have to pick them earlier.

Example. I havent been picking up short stops early because I think that S Drew is going to be good for arizona. So in the 2nd and 3rd rounds I pass up SS because i have a sleeper and pick up some power hitting and pitching.

Also know light positions such as 2b. There are only 3-4 good 2b'ers in the game. So...provideing Utley goes in the first round you may want to look at a 2ber when the 2nd one goes. (Chloe figgins or Cano) Once the good 4 go. it doesnt matter and you can almost punt the category.

Last but not least. Dont spend too much on closers. Wait a while. out of the top 5 closers last year. one of them sucked it up and 2 did not have a great year. Closers are 4 games from loseing there jobs. Wait until 4th-5th rounds till you pick up your first closer and have a couple of potentials (zumaya, walker) that are not closers yet but have no competition in front of them to get some saves.
