If you wear heavy foundation, you risk clogging your pores and causing breakouts. Try to keep it light. Also do NOT try to sleep with your makeup on as this also clogs pores and causes breakouts. Find a good foundation that suits your skin type as well as a good skincare regimen. Putting a mask on your face about twice a week can deep clean your pores and take care of your skin.

It ages it.
I hardly wear any, but when I do for more than a week in a row, I find my skin becomes blotchy and looks aged. It's not the type of foundation either.. I had my skin assessed with a few companies such as Clinique and their make up is reasonable quality.
Food for thought:
My mother has NEVER worn foundation. Or any make up other than mascara and brow liner. She always told me it would age me faster. At 59, her skin is amazing.. people always assume she is in her early fourties.. Everyone else in her immediate family wears foundation, they all look their age, or worse. Hmmmm...

if it isn't oil-free, it clogs pores, and once a pore is enlarged, there's no shrinking it back again. It also has a crapload of chemicals that can irritate and age your skin. It also dries it out and kind of smothers it.

It makes it tough enough to build a house on! I will never understand why you women always have to put paste on your skin.
