just for my peace of mind she would order blood work to be done, so yesterday after church I went in and they drew my blood. Two hours later she called me back and said that my hCG and progesterone levels were excellent and not to get worked up. She said she bled every day for the first 20 weeks of her pregnancy and now her son is like 10. Has anyone else experienced this? she said it is protocol after having blood drawn to have it checked again in 48 hours to make sure they rose by at least 60%. Can anyone relate to this?

when i first thought i was pregnant....only because my breast were sensitive....i was not throwing up or nothing...but i was going to wait to see if i got my period before i took a pregnancy test...then i GOT my period!...BUT i just knew i had to be pregnant....so even tho i was ON MY PERIOD...i took a pregnancy test anyway and it was postive...so then i bought like 10 more different brands....and they ALL read positive....so i'm like okay this is wierd...then why tha heck am i bleeding???...but i read some where that bleeding may occur in some women in the very very begining of pregnancy becuase of like the egg trying to properly attach or something like that and also your uteris stretching for the baby's growth can cause pregnant women to bleed...

I had some spotting in the first weeks of my pregnancy, and so they sent me to get an ultrasound done. Everything was fine, and they also told me that something like 50 % of woman with healthy pregnancies have spotting.

Trust your midwife she has more experience then anyone here probably does. ( sorry if anyone has a MD!!) I know spotting in early pregnancy is pretty normal...I have 4 children it never happen to me but it did my sister with both of her babies. Don't worry yourself to death unless the midwife tells you to worry!!
