did you get an allowance when you were young or now? i do i get $25 every 2 weeks but what ever i want i have to buy. like my cell phone i have to pay off and buy my own clothes and other stuff too.how much did you get?

Only when I lived with my grandparents did I get an allowance and that was $5/wk or my grandma would throw all her loose chnage into a jar and give it to me and I went clothes shopping (that was back in 1986 so I know $5 doesn't sound like much!)

I got $5 a week until I was 12 years old. After that I started making money by babysitting.

I get my allowance every 2-3 weeks.The amount varies from $50 to $100

Until I was 8, I got $1 a week. Fifty cents had to go to church though. After that we got $5/week with $2.50 going to the church.
Once I went to college, it stopped.

nothing; my parents buy me stuff when i want usually. not like they buy me everything i see and want though. i also work too around the house well like vacume( i dont mind though since they buy me stuff and i love vacuming; im a germ & neat freak) they buy me clothes, shoes, accessories etc. =) im happy they do also i get $10 a week for lunch money i think its better then allowence well for me it is

I got 10 dollars every week, but I did all the ironing for a family of five and my mom wanted everything ironed, towels, sheets,..

that would have been a decent allowance in like 1970, I am assuming that you DO something to deserve it...anyway, no I never got one, but I did get video games for doing well in school, and 10 bucks for vacuuming my dads car out.

i but my clothes,pay for my cell bill, and only get $5 a week!!!!!!!!!
my clothes cost like $20 for each thing!
