The lyric might also have been "Hear me coming down" - not really sure - something like that. It was difficult to get the exact lyric. It was an very up-beat track with a fairly speedy beat. And that lyric would come with the chorus just after a kind of dropped beat section of the tune. Literally every night out we went on you were guaranteed to hear it and it was easy to spot - the local Barbadians would literally run onto the dance floor when it started. It was like a mad rush. That leads me to think it was a local artist - plus I'd not heard the record before I'd got there. So, it wasn't Sean Paul or anything. Bit of a long shot, but I *think* it may have been the first tune played at the concert that followed the "Kensington Forever" grand re-opening of the Kensington Oval cricket ground. Help me if you can. Pleeeeease - I need to find this record!!

the Bajans are mad for their music... someone will know what song it is, unfortunately i dont, but thanks for reminding me of the days of 'put your hand on the bumper' and nights at the ship in at lawrence gap!
