It was Dee C Lee,who also used to be a backing singer for Wham.She was married to Paul Weller
She also had her own solo career,doing the original version of See The Day.most recently covered by Girls Aloud
Dee also appeared on Guru's Jazzmatazz project

No i think you're confusing her with one of his backing singers, DC Lee.
