My told me a few days ago that you start counting the day your period begins, but a few minutes ago she said she wasn't sure...so what is it?

yeah its the first day, though i do wished it was from the last so i can hav 5 extra days of freedom!

Let's say you start your period on March 5. You would count March 6th as day 1 of the 28-30 days.

Start counting from the day your period starts then count 28 days later and the days around the 28th day is usually when your next period will come.

Count the first day of your period to the first day of your next one.

The cycle is counted from the first day of your period. This is also why sometimes when a woman goes to the dr such as if pregnancy is suspected they will ask for the first day of her last menstrual period.

The first day starts on the day your period starts.

So if you start today, 28 days from today you will start again.

the first day of your period is day one, the last day before you get your period is day 28-30 or whatever.
