It looks most like a Linneated Woodpecker, a species found in Mexico and South America. Its similar to our Pileated Woodpecker. The tattoo isnt exactly right, but its closer to that than any other new world species that I am familar with.

It really looks much more like a Linneated than a Pileated. Pileated does not have the markings down the back and the facial pattern is much more complicated. I would have said Ivory-billed, but it lacks the white in the wing.

It looks most like a pileated woodpecker, Dryocopus pileatus
found in northern and eastern US and in Canada. Some artistic license was taken!

It seems to be a generalized bird in the genus Dryocopus or Campephilus. It looks like an Ivory-billed, Lineated or Pileated, but isn't quite perfect for any of them.
