the deeper meaning of what you said is the misunderstanding of that "No family can function without basic respect all around".
LoverBoy seems to believe that you forfeited your rights to any when you "lie beside him." You have very little bargaining power left, but use what you've got. If some education doesn't drastically improve matters soon, you'll definitely need to have a serious (though not angry) conversation with your bedmate in which you let him know that the conditions of your employment are no longer satisfactory. That might jolt him into negotiating terms that all three of you have a say in--and can live by.

They would know what you mean but there isn't anything that costs a penny. a penney is a filler for other things.
like a toy that costs 7.55 Then tax of 2 cents. So you owe 7.57
The 3 pennys fill in.

Americans use the term "it costs a pretty penny" to mean "expensive".

10 cents will get you nowhere i believe the cheapest thing here is a pack of gum. which is 30 cents, well there's also candy you can get at 5 cents a piece, too.
