He claims they have talked and are going to work it out without lawyers, yet she is going to see one "just to talk".

She is smart she will get custody because the husband is unfit and can't keep his pants up his wife will get the house a car and he will probably have to sell the boat plus he will have to pay child support

Reasons dont much matter anymore anywhere. The thing here is hes about to get really "screwed" here. Hes probably going to lose custody of the kids, the house and will get the dreaded child support for awhile. The judge could force him to sell the boat to pay off some marital bills not knowing his financial status. A divorce because of adultery is a very expensive lesson to learn. He always has the right to get an attorney and deal outside the courts with her but why spend the extra money when shes probably going to get everything he owns. He might be able to keep his boat but after child support, he wont be able to afford it. He will lose one of the vehicles and may also have to pay spousal support too. Again alot of this depends on his financial status and his ability to compromise alot. Good luck

Yes since there is a daughter involved he will definitley need a lawyer in this case. They also have things that will be divided as well like the house vehicles and boat. It will probably be 50/50 and he will need a lawyer to help him understand all of this and his wife will also need a good lawyer as well. He has no idea what he is getting himself into here. What about custody issues and vistitation with the daughter? He is not thinking straight here.

Your friend is about to get raped in divorce court.

Her lawyer will tell her "no fault" is for the birds, especially when she can get more and blame it on his cheating.

He needs to hire an attorney and fast. Simply because lawyers are invovled doesn't mean it is a nasty and contentious case. It does give him adequate protection against her and her lawyer (whose job it is to rape the hubby)

the marriage of somebody else is none of your concern. If he needs to flow on then he needs to document for a divorce and flow on. Adultery or something else wont make a distinction to the courtroom, the reason of the divorce would not count number number.
