Does it cost me to receive a text message I don't read and just delete on a verizon phone?

I don't have a texting plan yet and don't really want one. I get texts from people but I delete them without reading them.

Am I going to get charged for these anyway?

Yes, why not just block your texts? starting march 1, 2007, the rates went up to $.15 per text. pix messages stayed the same at $.25. i would recommend you either get a package to be safe or just block them.

Yes! So tell friends to limit their texts to you. You can block numbers and may want to put offenders on a blocked numbers list so they can't text you.

That is a great question....my guess is yes, since my brother gets outrageous bills and he mostly texts and gets them exclusively with verizon users....I think they are rip-offs.
