Horses are pretty cool. They are much bigger and heavier in person than they look in pictures! They have very human looking eyes! They are expensive to keep though; you would be happier buying a sportbike or a nice car.

I got chased by horses a lot when I was younger, because I used to cut across a field near my house, and it turns out the horses in the field didn't like people using it.
I've seen literally hundreds of them in the flesh, stroked their noses, ridden them, etc. If they're treated well they're amongst the most lovely, caring animals you can get.

I would say that the best way to answer your question would be to direct you to the reference desk of a library on or off line. Ask the reference person for help finding books written from the Native American's perspective. You will find the Native's accounts of their experiences during the region's first exposure to horses that came with the European influx.
These accounts are pure and unadulterated by secondary exposure to the media, which will come into play with most contemporaries. I think that you will find your question to be answered in ways that will exceed any expectations that you may have had, in regards to the personal experience.
Please share your findings!

I own 4 stallions and 2 colts from my black stallion, they are the most amazing creatures. The way they trot with there tails up and flirt with you. My husband dosne't really like them because of there size but I've loved them since i could talk and walk.
