Does anybody know anything about the U of M in Duluth and Campus Living? Is it affordable? Is there stuff to do in Duluth? Is it easy to find a job?

if you drink alcohol , UMD is definately the school for you LoL.. i went to UMD about 12 yrs ago so i can't say much on affordable. i grew up in duluth and there isn't **** to do ... you can go to the movies, go to the bar , skiing/snowboarding, head over to superior to go the bars . UMD hockey games during season.. but word or warning, if you do end up going DRESS WARM .. job outlook not so good.. if you are looking for a career definately NO but if you are looking for a nice part time job that pays $7 an hour than you probably will find something.

Friends of mine went to UMD. They loved it. Big hockey school. And I've been to Duluth 2x (I am not from MN, but now live in the Twin Cities) and think it is a gorgeous city.

I do know that one of my friends who went there is a big partier, so I can't imagine there isn't a social life.

It isn't your biggest city, but big enough IMHO. The North Shore is a big travel destination - more like Mom & Pop places, again, but the scenery is beautiful. Camping, canoeing, hiking if you are into that sort of thing 3 seasons a year...winters horrible though...Duluth is COLD.
