MTV (MusicTelevision) is an American television network.

It broadcasts all over the world, and in countries other than the US, it makes sure that 70% of its shows are made in those countries. (Rather than all US-made shows.) This is called "local content."

One show made in Brazil and shown on MTV in Brazil is a soccer show called "Rockgol." In this show, musicians from Brazil play against people who work in the music business.

One show made in Russia and shown on MTV in Russia is called "Twelve Angry Viewers." In this show, teenagers watch music videos, talk about them, dance, and playfully hit each other over the head with a soft toy (inflatable lollipop). This is not high culture (Chekhov is a famous Russian playwright), but it is very popular. Russian music groups want their videos to be shown on this show.

I hope this helps!
