True or false? an object that is dropped will hit the ground before an object that is thrown horizontally from the same height..

False.

The distance dropped is the same, and the rate of falling is the same. It just falls farther away.

false, i think they say even a bullet (shot sideways) will hit the ground at the same time as a dropped bullet!

the earth's gravitational pull is much greater than the force of throwing an object sideways.

at least i think. =]

Only if you throw it so hard that the curvature of the Earth comes into effect.

If not, then it will hit the ground at the same time.
