That is not too late at all. Actually, they say to feed babies about 2-3 hours before they go to bed. And, at 4 months, they really depend on their formula, so she probably only eats a small amount twice a day or something, anyway. It shouldn't effect her, whether you feed her at 5 or 6 or 7. Just trust your instincts and watch to see how your baby sleeps, because they are all different.

I would actually give her last meal of the day at about 7 if she goes to sleep at nine. As long as she is upright for an hour before bed she will be fine after that.

Have you been given the "Okay" by your pediatrician? 4 months is the earliest to give them solids. Babies have to reach certain developmental milestones. I would feed her in the afternoon, it would be digested by 9pm. Feed her when she's happy and not yet too hungry! Good Luck!

My son started sleeping through the night at 2-1/2 weeks...my Dr told me that when he started waking up again to give hima tablespoon of rice cereal before nursing him before bed...this happened at 4 months old...So I did and he went back to sleeping through the night again.

You should feed her the solids as close to bedtime as possible! You will get longer sleeps out of her once she has solid food in her system.

4 months is a bit young, the AAP recommends exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months.
