Recently I was sat in a resteraunt enjoying a lovely meal when the person directly behind me received a call on his mobile we then sat through 10 minutes of a one sided conversation with lots of load forced laughter. This interfered with the nice intermate attmosphere around our table.
I'm sure my blood pressure rose several notches surely there is a place for these things like outside if I have to go outside for a smoke why not a phone call?

You right, Ban mobiles in restaurants. The amount of times I've listen to other people conversations while trying to enjoy a meal and why do they have to raise their voice level when they are talking, do they think their lives are so important ! in fact I'd say having someone talking on their mobiles is more of a socially inconvenient than someone sat opposite me smoking. Better get onto Tony Blair, I'm sure he hasn't thought of that one.

Ignoring the undeniable fact that they could properly be 'microwaving' your thoughts for a 2d, they are risky if basically interior the palms of morons like the only I observed this morning turning an fairly great heavy lorry right into a hectic junction mutually as textual content cloth MESSAGING! And regards smoking; perhaps cellular telephones (and cybermen bluetooth headsets) may be the habit we are all compelled to offer up interior the destiny; they believed cigarettes have been 'good' to your well being one hundred years in the past!

I wonder if the person you refer to was an anti-smoking zealot? I bet many of them that are, wouldn't think twice about having a conversation on their mobile in a restaurant or similar place. Perhaps you should have lit up, and said that, " I will put my cigarette out when you get off the phone". I hope that they do ban it, that might then be a lesson to the intolerant anti-smoking zealots. It is mainly pubs that I am referring to here.

It would be great if they did ban them, one of the best articles I read in the papers a while ago:-
A young man spent a long time on the phone on a train journey and the other passengers were getting very fed up with the continued drivel and laughter when a very smart business man got up and snatched the phone and stamped on it really hard then pulled out his cheques book and said "How much do I owe you young man"

Don't sit around waiting for a paternalistic father figure to sort it out, do it yourself! Snatch the phone out of the hand and drop-kick it. 2 points for a conversion into the kitchen.

Death is too good for them. I would expect to hear more about dead zones for phones in future - like in theatres and cinemas where phone systems might be deliberately jammed.
