Well practice your Kegels to see if you can stop it... if you can't it's amniotic fluid...also amniotic fluid (unless it has meconium in it) is clearer than urine and also has a slightly sweetish smell like hay. If you just give up and can't tell for sure, they can do a quick exam at the hospital or dr office with a strip of paper to tell if it's amnio fluid or not...

That's what happened to me and it was my water leaking. I had no pain at the time either. You should know in an hour or so. If it's leaking, it will continue. Then call your dr. for instructions. It could be the baby has moved and is really pressing on your bladder. Good luck & congratulations!

your amniotic fluid can smell sweet. My midwife says you can lie down for half an hour or so, and when you sit up - if it runs out and appears to be coming from your vagina, then its probably fluid, not urine.
Most likely your water has broken however :)

If you can stop it ...it's just pee
If you squeeze and squeeze and it's still coming...it's your water.
You're broken water doesn't hurt at all...you just can't stop it so pain wouldnt be an indicator on this.

you should wear a sanitary pad....if you feel leaking, wait a while and go to the restroom. this is pretty gross, but you'll have to smell it to see. if there's little to no smell, or if it smells sweet, it's your water. if it's more pungent, it's urine.
