Roasted??? Pffffff!!!

On toast please. With brown sauce.

ps the brown sauce is very good for absorbing heat from the grill. Spread it thinly over melted cheese. I prefer to not let the cheese bubble, its better runny. Brown sauce could be HP, or even Worcestershire - Lea & Perrins.
Lately I've been using low fat philadelphia cheese, but my preference is mature cheddar. Grating it gives the best results. Make sure the cheese goes right up to the edge of the bread - wholemeal is my favourite.

Cheese on toast is cooked under the grill. Roasting is carried out in the oven.

Toasted if its done under the grill and roasted if its done in the oven and no one makes cheese on toast in the oven.
