I think that simon and paula are both doing their ways just for tv and to get attention.. but i do admit that it does make american idol better to watch!

Simon can be harsh, he has become a little kinder, and to hear Paula tell it everyone up there is her favorite, so I think Randy seems to be the most balanced.

paula needs to lay off the drugs, simon is harsh, but is right 90% of the time...
if they cant survive him, how can they survive rejection from the music industry?

I don't think Simon is too harsh. Those people go there to be judged and evaluated... the judges are not their parents. They won't keep telling them "well done" when they're complete rubbish and can't sing.

I think he can be a little mean... sometimes he does it because the singer is just PLAIN BAD either that he feels that the contestent isnt trying hard enough and isnt give it his/her all.. I think hes giving them the extra push. because he knows they can do better, he did it with Kelly C and Carrie U in the beginning and now look at them.

Simon is the anti-christ. He should be deported home if he believes that we can't sing. He hasn't heard me yet. I have been paid to stop. Seriously folks this show would never have lasted this long without the jerk.

if simon didnt say it im sure someone else would. if anything simon is helping them by making them realize that being a famous singer isnt all glitz and glamor, there are people who are going to critisize.

He's always been hard on contestants, it's just now they are starting to focus on it, since they have nothing else to talk about anymore. I mean if he wasn't hard on them, would anyone want to watch then?
