I admit I listened to rap for a couple months, but I don't like it. Most of the time it's just demeaning to women, or they rap about how rich they are and how "cool" they look. I never really liked it, it's just so many people liked it back then...But nonetheless, a lot of people are still listening to it, though I really don't like it. I prefer indie/rock/folk and more original kinds of music.

Ooh Ooh Me Me! It's absolutely horrible now. I long for the days of LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys, Kurtis Blow, UTFO, The Real Roxainne, Mc Lyte, BDP, The Fat Boys, all of the originators.

It will die if the young rappers stop rapping about themselfs and start rapping about life situations and struggles like they did back in the day.

Not quiet. Its on life support though. So long as Nas is still banging, it's alive. Once he calls it quits, it's over. All we will have is the old school. Which will die when I do.

i just wish it would stop playing on the radio now..Rock is SO much better..I also don't like Hip Hop and R&B.

i dont but i hope it does soon...i always hated it and ni always will hate it and im tired of gangstas and rappers and all these crazy songs....what kind a music doent have an instrument..i just dont nget it.....

yeah, its pretty dead...maybe thats jsut my opinon..i listened for rap once..lasted about two weeks...lol. i love my alternative/rock/punk
