The relative positions of all the bodies in our Solar System to each other and their positions within the 12 Zodiac Signs, flavour your basic character that is initially set by the Ruling Planet.
An Astrologer draws your individual Birth Chart, by placing at the exact position in the Zodiac, at the time of your birth - the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune & Pluto. Some Astrologers will also take into account a variety of Asteroids.

I can not overemphasize how this combination of influences, positions and inter-relationships, shift what a professional Astrologer considers not only for your Character at time of birth but how the chart of past, present & future moments influence your behaviour and reactions to circumstance, what the public think is predicting the future. This is in fact more like forecasting the weather but does have the advantage of totally predictable planetry positions.

Your 'Stars' or Sun Sign column as popular in magazines and web sites, use ONLY the Suns basic position in the Zodiac, it can be uncannily close at times but is only the first of many considerations when it comes to understanding you, your motives, how you react in different situations and of great importance to you - how the predictable positions of planets will influence your future. A horoscope cast to your time, place and person can be pretty close on. But you also need someone who knows how to read the chart and how to look ahead with one. Sun sign forecasts are for entertainment only and should never be used to plan your life. In fact unless the astrologer can offer you some proof of their ability it would be wise to temper your belief with reason. I am not putting astrology down. I have used it myself (I do my own interpreting and reading of the chart) for many many years, and I have seen so called professional astrologers who make a mockery out of what I perceive to be an art and science combined.

Predicting the future based on your zodiac sign, I'm afraid, is total BS. The time that guy is born on might have a minor impact on his charecter but there are good guys and bad guys in every sign. So, even the minor changes that you see in a guy negligible when compared to the charecter that he develops into because of the society; the habits that he picks up, his real interests, the friends he moves with, the job that he finds and not to forget his genes.

So, the next time some guy says "You are a bit different because of your zodiac sign", look at him like you're looking at a jerk. Only God can save such people.

Have faith in God and give your 100% in whatever you do. Results will come your way no matter what sign you belong to.

they're pretty correct to a point. Horoscopes are so general, it's hard to tell if they are truthful or not. but, think about how many people are in the world, and how many people fall under one category. do you really think that each person is going to be just like that? so, yeah. i believe in horoscopes. but that's because the pisces description (which is what i am) fits me perfectly. but, it all depends on how you look at life too. i'm usually head in the clouds, hate to come to reality like i just did. but, it's all good.

It is pretty good at telling what a persons personality is like, but as far as telling what is going to happen day by day,....I am skeptical and don't believe in that.
