I currently take my son to a kaiser center and sees a family practice dr. Although it is ok... I am not quite happy with it. I would like my son to see a pediatrician, who might be more concerned and where both my son and I are more comfortable.... How can I find a good and nice pediatrician in San Bernardino, Ca???

Ask around. When I had my daughter, we had just moved to a new town and I didn't know anything about the Dr.s in our area. One of my friends sisters worked at the hospital and in the maternity ward. When my friend asked her who was the best pediatrician, she answered--"As an employee of the hospital, I can't tell you my opinion. As your sister (and the mother of 5 boys) I can tell you it's Dr. Ross." I also asked other mothers--some that I didn't know, but just saw them in the store with children. I would ask them about the other pediatricians I had heard about as well, and get their feedback about everything I could-personality, way with kids, etc. I ended up going with Dr. Ross, and I am very happy--my husband and I and both of our kids love him. If you're not happy with your Dr now, change it. You want a Dr that your son is comfortable with so he won't dread the dr visits. I prefer a pediatrician over family practice because their entire practice is focused on kids.

call your insurance company and ask them for a list pediatricians that are part of their plan. And ask other parents you see at the store, park, mall, ect. Most parents are more than happy to help a fellow new mom out. And then check out the doctors history with the cali board of doctors.

I got a list of the peds that practiced at our hospital. I made interview appointments with them (something very common) and talked to a few while I was pregnant. as soon as I met the one, I knew I wanted her to be the doc. she is great and has been our doc ever since.......

...simple... go to the Yellow-Pages and look one up... call them.
