Check with any manager or player in baseball - Andruw Jones is the best center fielder in baseball. No, he won't steal 40 bases - but then again, there is nothing left to steal if you run all four after a hit. Grady Sizemore is a very close second because of his offense.
But, no other outfielder in baseball can make a third base coach yell "Stop" louder than when Andruw picks up a ball.

Andruw Jones is the best going to day. Hunter is his equal defensively, with Beltran and Wells some distance behind them. Offensively, there are a lot of CF who can swing the stick. I think the biggest difference makers at the plate are Jones and Beltran, with Wells and Sizemore behind them. Whoever thinks Soriano is a better CF than Jones is an absolute moron, and this is coming from a Cub fan. Big Stick and amazing defense make A.Jones the best CF in the game today.

Choro, Beltran is maybe the only one up with Andruw Jones. Soriano is nowhere near the defender, and Torii is an equal feilder but I'd take Jones bat over his any day. I say Jones is the best, Beltran may steal more bases but Jones hits for more power and is a better defensive centerfielder. You cannot argue against all of his gold gloves. Jones is simply the best right now, you gotta remember he's not even 30 and it seems like he's a 15 year vet.

Gary Mathews Jr. might have the edge on Andrew Jones. He plays the center feild position very well and made a ton of Web Jems last year. Hes my pick for the best defensive outfeilder. The best arm would be between Ichiro and Vlad, no doubt the two best arms in the game today.

Yes, Carlos Beltran. He will get the stolen bases that Andruw Jones cannot and he will hit and hit with power.
If you are looking towards an all-around centerfielder and not just for fantasy baseball stats, you won't find one better than Grady Sizemore.

Andruw is the best CF in the game. His only real knock is his BA. He has only hit above .300 once, in his .303, 199 hits, 122 runs, 36HR, 21 SB, 104 RBI 2000 season, but the rest of his numbers are still phenominal and NOBODY plays the field like him.

all around, the impact of jones on the game as a fielder and hitter gives him a slight edge over beltran, who i'd like to reserve judgment on as he bounces back from his less-than-stellar year last year...beltran is still right there though, with vernon wells coming very close also, plus we still forget that johnny damon is as good a leadoff hitter and as consistent a fielder as there is in baseball, even though he's getting up there in years and has no throwing arm
