16 ounces in 1 pound and 450 grams in one pound ,when there is only 448 grams in 1 pound?

It is easier to remember 450 grams than 448 grams and a difference of 2 grams is negligible for most applications. Frankly, the United States should just give up on the outdated imperial system and embrace the much more consistent and easier to understand SI system of measure. Forget about pounds and ounces and move to kilograms and grams.
