sell-outs are bands that are only in the music business for money. The band only really makes songs that they think/know their audience wants to hear, and only that kind of music, no matter what kind of the music the band really likes.
posers are people or bands that pretend to be something they are not. People can say they are skaters but aren't really or really that good or they don't even really skate a whole lot, so they are posers. Band posers are bands who try to play a certain kind of music or try to look a certain way. If they try to be punk they will dress the part (sort of) and try to sound the part, but they won't be anywhere close to it.

Sell-outs are bands or artists whose music reflects whats popular just so they can sell records and posers are bands, artists and people who claim they're something, just to look cool.

"Sell-Outs" are people that are in a band and play what is popular for money and fame. "Posers" are people who pretend to be someone that they aren't, usually to be the same as everyone else.

wow. you're really out of it. sorry. a sell-out is someone who allows money to control them and their exploits above anything else. it is often used in the case of a band that started making softer, catchier music, eschewing honesty and conviction. a poser is someone who claims to be something in order to be popular, or be taken a certain way, rather than doing what they want. sorry, but you are really out of it.
