can they see what sites i'm viewing? or does it just show that someone is using their internet?

they will be secure with a password normally wep .
if not secure they wont know unless they see u on the laptop

being a school they will have some for of net watch software which allows them to see and possibly control site access.

if all your doing is using their wireless AP , no they can not see what your doing because your not apart of their domain , your simply using their unsecured AP . the only way they are going to be able to see anything you do on your laptop is #1 you have to be in the schools domain and they would have to have some type of vnc connection to your laptop .

They could see someone is on, but only with special software could they see what you are looking at.

the school WILL know what sites you visit, it bes all stored in the logs as people sign on to it...sorry for the bad news..im just giving the facts to help you...
