check for corrosion on the battery terminals and loose connections many many times small problems like this cause people to spend unnessary money on parts. ect. the starter draws alot of power more than almost anything else on the vehicle the battery terminals must be very clean and tight. make sure the starter bolts are tight as many starters don't use a ground wire but simply use the contact of the starter to the engine as a ground. a loose connection would cause the starter to work when it has a good connection and not when it don't. If all of that checks out test or replace the starter relay and if that don't fix it maybe the starter is bad. IDK but I hope it's something simple and cheap. Good Luck.

I have the same vehicle. Gives me nothing but problems. Just broke down again this past saturday, had to tow it home. I'm not wasting any more money on this junk. You also should rethink your choice of vehicle. It will nickel and dime you to the point of homelessness if you let it.
