i'm not familiar with the cure song, but the pj song is a cover of an old song, maybe from the '50s. it is about this couple that were on a date. the guy was driving and was in an accident. the girl was mortaly wounded, but was able to have one last moment with the guy and they share their last kiss. it's a really sad song.

last kiss by pearl jam is a remake of an early 1960's song.
It's about a car accident, he was driving and his girlfriend died. He wants to know where god sent her so he can find her when he leaves this world.
