Hi,The tail pipe said it all.Blue smoke ,you are burning your oil.white smoke ,water is getting in chambers during combustion.Earlier Ford engine`s are great for burning oil.I had one and always kept a couple of quarts of oil in the trunk.I`am sorry to say you need engine work. Good Luck

It sounds to me like one of two things may be happening: First, you may have a problem with your piston rings not sealing and oil coming up from your crankcase and being burned. Second, you may have a bad head gasket, also allowing oil to burn. White/blueish smoke is an indication of oil burning. Unfortunately, neither the piston rings nor the head gasket is a cheap fix.

There is definetely an internal engine leak. It could be piston rings, valve guides, head gasket, etc. Take your car to a reputable service center and have a cylinder leak-down test performed, it will tell you everything you need to know. Be sure to pay attention to oil pressure at all times! Your car is in desperate need of repair, its better and cheaper to do it sooner than later.

I doubt that there is no leak. if it leaks out of the gaskets you might not even see the leakage on the ground. I think the smoke indicates that its burning as well.
