Trimec contains 2,4-D and is a very good post-emergent weed control product that is primarily used to control broad-leaved weeds in turf/lawns. I've used Trimec alone AND with another post-emergent broad-leaved herbicide containing the active ingredient "Triclopyr". When mixed together, they seem to perform better in controlling a broader range of weeds.

As with most herbicides, you should remember to do the following:

1) Avoid spraying when it's windy since Trimec can damage most ornamentals and vegetables---causing deformity or death. (Applications are probably better if done in the morning)

2) Avoid spraying whenever temperatures exceed 85 degrees since the product will volatilize and cause damage to other plants in the area.

3) Do not irrigate for 48 hours after application.

4) Use protective eyewear, gloves and clothing.

Hope this answered your question. Good luck!

trimec and trimec plus are pretty good, I haven't seen it do any better than regular pesticides on the market. I know you can you them where round up and some other non selective herbicides cannot be used.
