i heard that's the reason he left...because he was fired.

Yes, he got fired after being on GH 30 years. Isn't it funny that he couldn't break his contract but can get fired for "personal reasons". He'll be on the show as a ghost, but just for a short time.

OOOh ,I hope that is not what happened!I have been watching General Hospital for over 15 years and I LOVE when the Q,s all get together in the Living Room and tear each other apart...it is so funny when Luke is there to terrorize Edward!LOL Seriously,I will miss Allen-it won,t be the same without him:(

I don't think he got fired. I saw on soapcentral.com that Allen will be appearing as a ghost around town for a while. First person Allen begins to haunt is his sister Tracy.

I believe it was decided that they would not renew his contract so he was killed off in the show. That's ashame because he was one of the original characters and even though they didn't have something for him now they didn't have to get rid of him. There was a huge campaign to keep him but that never seemed to work because it was decided long before the public new anything about it. Terrible decision in my opinion...........

they did. but think it was a mistake. you can't kill off a veteran character like Allen Q. the Q family dynamic will be totally off without him. if they had to kill one of the hostages why not someone no one really cares about and won't interfere with future storylines.

He was let go I think it was the decision of the producers.........but I think he will have a recurring role as a ghost now or something like that

Cause they had to get rid of someone from the hostage crisis. Othrtwise everyone would be like "What was the point of that?"
