I RECENTLY LET MY SON GO LIVE WITH HIS DAD AND IT HASNT BEEN ORDERED BY THE COURT THAT HIS DAD HAS FULL CUSTODY OF HIM YET..BUT I DONT FEEL THAT HIS DAD IS RESPONISBLE ENOUGH TO CONTINUE TO GUIDE HIM IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. HE HAS NEVER BEEN A PART OF MY SONS LIFE BUT I GAVE HIM THE CHANCE AND DONT FEEL THAT MY SON IS SAFE THERE WITH HIM. I NEVER HAD AN ATTORNEY BECAUSE AT FIRST WE ALL HAD AGREED THAT MY SON CAN GO LIVE WITH HIM SO I LET HIM HAVE CUSTODY. LIKE I SAID IT HASNT BEEN ORDERED YET BUT WHAT CAN I DO..MY SON DOESNT FEEL SAFE THERE AND DOESNT WANNA BE THERE ANYMORE BUT HIS DAD REFUSES TO LET HIM COME BACK. I KNOW I NEED TO DO SOMETHING BEFORE MY SON ENDS UP RUNNING AWAY.

well your gonna have to go to the court house and get papers on your son so that why his father can't keep him. your gonna have to tell the courts what's gonging on with the father and his house and why your son doesn't want to stay there any more.

You will need to document your objections. The more you can back up, the better. You will likely end up needing a lawyer. If there is a real safety concern and his dad still refuses to let him come back, then you will likely have to go through either family services, the police, or a lawyer. Now did you have sole custody before or joint custody? How often and what amount did the dad pay in support? Did he pay for medical insurance and medical expenses?
How often did he use his visitation? Those are the things to document.
The safety issue needs to be addressed first. Hope it goes well.
