what to wear to an alternative concert?

In a few days I will be going to the 'Cute Is What We Aim For' they are sort of rock, emo(not goth though, and alternative. Please dont suggest tennis shoes, because I wont weeearrr them!
shirt?jeans?shoes?hair style? make up?

Honestly...those boots that you see everyone wearing to shows like that aren't just for looks...Boots are a good idea...lol...You DEFINITELY need to wear shoes that will protect your tootsies...You will definitely get jumped on. Wear comfortable clothes...Jeans and a t-shirt are always a good choice. If you're trying to look like most of the folks that go to those shows, try getting a t-shirt from a thrift store. Wear skinny leg jeans. And for shoes, go to Hot Topic or Pac Sun and buy a pair of slip-on Vans. Although a lot of folks there will be wearing the "slippers" that are so popular, DON'T!!! You'll end up with bruised feet and broken toes. For the hair, pull it back in a low pony tail. Also wear a wide headband with it. As for make-up, make your eyeshadow stand out. Also, wear black eyeliner. A wide & unique belt will top off the outfit. But just keep in mind, you need to go for comfort in selecting your clothes. You'll be miserable if you're not comfortable. There will be a lot of "moshing" and "crowd surfing" so it can get dangerous. Oh!!! Before I forget, if you wear glasses...DON'T wear them that night (if you can go without them) because they most likely will get broken. Also, don't carry a purse, keep everything in your pockets. Hope you have fun!!! It seems like this is the first show like this that you've gone to. It's definitely a wild & fun experience. Just take my advice about the shoes...I've seen what happens when people don't wear the right shoes.

i went to the fall out boy concert and mostly everyone was just in jeans and tee-shirts and of course lots of black eyeliner..haha some people were wearing skirts..but few...cause you wanna be comfortable
